2026-2027 ASO Masterworks Season Transportation Ticket (Sunday, October 04, 2026)

The Symphony Guild sponsors transportation to the ASO Sunday afternoon Masterworks concerts using the Village Chauffer. Register for this event if you would like to purchase a transportation ticket for the 2026-2027 Masterworks concert series. The season transportation tickets are $240. Season transportation tickets must be purchased by October 2.

For Masterworks concerts, The Village Chauffer will depart the parking lot of the Lake Forest Senior Living Campus at 121 Cortez Road at 12:45 PM and will arrive back at approximately 6 PM.

You may pay by credit card when you register. If you prefer to pay by check, please mail your check payable to the HSV Symphony Guild to HSV Symphony Guild, P.O. Box 8354, Hot Springs Village, AR 71910. We will not be accepting payment on the bus.

If possible, please provide your cell phone number when you register so that we may contact you the day of the concert if necessary.

Honoring Veterans & America at 250”

The Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild will present “Salute to Service — The 106th Army Band in Concert Honoring Veterans & America at 250” on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines, 275 Asturias Drive in Hot Springs Village. The concert is free and open to the public.

This special patriotic concert commemorates both Veterans Day and the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. The combined observance of these two historic milestones creates a rare and especially meaningful opportunity to honor military service while celebrating America’s history, ideals, and civic traditions through live musical performance.

Performed by the 106th Army Band of the Arkansas National Guard (officially known as "Governor's Own"), the program will feature patriotic, ceremonial, and traditional concert selections celebrating military service, national heritage, and the enduring role of music in civic life and national unity. Known for performances throughout Arkansas and the surrounding region, with members from four states including Arkansas, the 106th Army Band represents the professionalism, discipline, public service, and musical excellence of the United States Army and Arkansas National Guard.

Arkansas Symphony Orchestra "Christmas in the Village" (Sunday, December 06, 2026)

The HS/HSV Symphony Guild presents the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in its annual Christmas Concert in the Village. This festive event will feature this outstanding orchestra along with guest soloists and our own Village Chorale back on stage with the orchestra. This concert always gets the Christmas Season started with a bang. Join us on Sunday, December 6, 2026 at the Woodlands Auditorium for an outstanding afternoon of glorious music. The cost of this concert is only $40.00 for reserved seating.

Reserved seat tickets will be available online this fall. Members will receive an email allowing ticket purchases before they are on sale to the general public. Tickets will also be available for purchase in person at the HSV POA Ticket office in the Ponce de Leon Center.

The Guild is also sponsoring a food drive benefiting local students in Fountain Lake, Jessieville, and Mountain Pine school districts. If you would like to participate, we will be collecting non-perishable food items in the lobby before the concert. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, please write checks payable to the school districts that you would like to help. We will have a volunteer collecting the checks and food to deliver to each school district.

Brahms Piano Quartet No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 25 for violin, viola, cello and piano (Sunday, February 07, 2027)

Please join us at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines Church for a recital on Sunday, February 7, 2027 at 3 pm. The HS/HSV Symphony Guild is pleased to bring you Johannes Brahms's Piano Quartet No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 25 performed by violinist and Concertmaster of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Kiril Laskarov and cellist, violinist/violist and Associate Concertmaster, Katherine Williamson, Rockefeller Quartet member cellist Jacob Wunsch and pianist Jaeyeon Park. There will be a reception following the concert in Hoffius Hall at the church.

Johannes Brahms’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 25, is one of the great chamber works of the Romantic era—dramatic, lyrical, and brilliantly constructed. Written while Brahms was still in his twenties and premiered in 1861 with Clara Schumann at the piano, the quartet already reveals the sweeping emotional intensity and rich musical architecture that would define his mature style. Each instrument plays an equal role in the musical dialogue, from the searching opening movement to the warm lyricism of the Andante con moto.

The quartet concludes with the famous Rondo alla Zingarese, a fiery finale inspired by the Hungarian style Brahms loved throughout his career. Filled with driving rhythms, sudden contrasts, and dazzling virtuosity, the movement’s electrifying energy helped make the work one of Brahms’s most beloved chamber masterpieces.

Hans Zimmer: A Film Music Lecture/Performance by Members of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra (Sunday, March 07, 2027)

The Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild is pleased to continue its 2026–2027 Classic Concert Series with Hans Zimmer: A Film Music Lecture/Performance by Members of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

The program will take place on Sunday, March 7, 2027 at 3:00 p.m. at Village Bible Church, 100 Ponderosa Way, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Tickets are $10 and are available by registering for the event or you may pay at the door.

Arkansas Symphony Orchestra music librarian, violinist, and String Academy faculty member Dr. Geronimo Oyenard has created a special lecture-performance featuring his original arrangements for string quartet to celebrate the long career of film composer Hans Zimmer (Lion King, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Prince of Egypt, The Dark Knight and others). The presentation will combine a live performance of many of Hans Zimmer's most famous themes with Dr. Oyenard’s commentary on the music and films of this legendary artist. The performance will be enhanced by a projection of the corresponding film clips shown on multiple overhead screens.

Dr. Andrew Stadler & Brass Quintet (Sunday, April 11, 2027)

The Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild is pleased to close its 2026–2027 Classic Concert Series with the return of Arkansas Symphony Orchestra musician Dr. Andrew Stadler, trumpet, whose ensemble Duo Nuovo opened the Guild’s 2025–2026 season.

For this season finale, Dr. Stadler brings his newly formed brass quintet to Hot Springs Village for an engaging program of brass chamber music. Featuring the brilliance, warmth, and versatility of the brass family, the concert offers audiences the opportunity to hear a dynamic new collaboration led by one of Arkansas’s most active performers and educators.

The program will be performed on Sunday, April 11, 2027 at 3:00 p.m. at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines (275 Asturias Drive). General admission is $10. Tickets can be purchased at symphonyguild.org (your email confirmation serves as your ticket) or at the door. The concert will last approximately one hour and followed by a meet-and-greet with the artists.

The Guild is delighted to welcome Dr. Stadler back to the Classic Concert Series and to introduce audiences to his latest chamber music collaboration.

ASO Youth Orchestras in Concert and Symphony Guild Annual Meeting (Sunday, April 25, 2027)

After a short Guild annual meeting enjoy music brought to us by the best of our state’s talented youth. The concert is free to attend.

Both the Academy and Youth Orchestras will be performing.

The Academy Orchestra is conducted by Gabriel Bruce. Mr Bruce currently serves as orchestra director at Mills University Studies High School and Mills Middle School in Pulaski County and has previously taught orchestra in the Pine Bluff schools in Arkansas, where he also served as music director of the Pine Bluff Symphony Youth Orchestra.

The Academy Orchestra is the intermediate level ensemble with a full complement of strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion. Entrance is by audition only. String players must demonstrate facility above 1st position and in keys up to 4 sharps and 4 flats. Woodwind and Brass players must be at the level to make All-Region Band and Orchestra.

The new ASO Associate Conductor will conduct the Youth Orchestra. The Youth Orchestra consists of the most advanced string, woodwind, brass and percussion players from around the state. Entrance is by audition only and for those whose audition demonstrates familiarity with advanced techniques, in order to perform the standard orchestra repertoire. Musicians in this group consistently place at the top of the All-State Band and Orchestra Competition and are leaders in their schools and communities.
