Please join us for the Henderson State President's Music Award Winners in Concert at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (199 Barcelona Rd) on Saturday January 26, 2019 at 2 p.m.

The concert is free, but a Free Will Offering will be taken.  There will be a reception following the concert.

The program features student soloists who were selected as winners of a competition that took place in November. “ As always, we enjoy performing for an appreciative audience in Hot Springs Village and are excited to collaborate with the Symphony Guild again to present our competition winners,” says Dr. Steven Becraft, coordinator of the competition.

Soloists include: Morgan Lee, a soprano from Malvern, AR, will perform “Batti, batti, o bel Masetto” from Mozart’s Don Giovanni; Luke Fields, a saxophonist from New Boston, TX, will perform the first movement of Ibert’s Concertino da Camera; Zaquary Hale, a flutist from Bryant, AR, will perform Otar Gordeli’s Concertino for Flute; and Emelia Adams, a hornist from Arkadelphia, AR, will perform the first movement of Jim Beckel’s The Glass Bead Game

This year’s recital will also feature two HSU faculty soloists: Dr. Lim Angela Tchoi will perform the final movement of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2; and Dr. Steven Becraft will perform the final movement of Michael Daugherty’s clarinet concerto, Brooklyn Bridge.

Listening to the amazingly talent, young musicians will be a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
